Kathmandu, Oct. 17: Finance Minister
Gyanendra Bahadur Karki said that the investment environment in the country has
been gradually improving in the country.
Launching ‘Data Analytics Software’
developed by Mero Lagani the other day, he said that the quality data would
help the investors to take a wise decision.
“I hope the new software will provide
credible statistics and help the capital market investors in multiple ways,” he
said.
Minister Karki also inaugurated online
portal Nepal Journal, a subsidiary publication of Mero Lagani.
The software has all the statics of all the
companies listed at the Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE), and the users can
obtain the facility of it at the cost of Rs. 3,500 per anum.
Chairman of the Securities Board of
Nepal (SEBON) Dr. Rewat Bahadur Karki said that the Board was set to attract
the investment from the Non-Resident Nepalis in the capital market. However, he
said that the domestic investment would be protected.
According to him, the SEBON is yet to
settle the issues like the ceiling of investment and expatriation of profit.

Saud said that new indices of development banks and microfinance companies
would be developed soon from the banking index.
