Investment in education going down the drain

Most of the government schools in the cities, and many in the villages as well, have better physical facilities like playground, building, laboratory, library and drinking water. Teachers are well-trained, and they don’t have issues related to poor payment to teachers. But, the result of government schools is pathetic with a significant number of them performing worst in the secondary exams.

Government pours resources in education, but the achievement has been negative for the last couple of decades. If the results were to be improved, the central and local government and the community must be active to make the education system better.

The local bodies elected after about two decades are confused about their rights, finding resources for the additional duties and meeting aspirations of people. The best way to address the aspirations of the people would be to improve the education system in their respective local body.

There is no second thing in the world for parents other than their children's excellence in education. It is equally necessary for the federal or provincial government to collaborate with the local governments to create at least a model public secondary school in every local units so that other schools could follow the trend.
