Airlines
operators have increased the air fares of the domestic passenger flight
services.
Airlines
Operators Association of Nepal (AOAN) said in a statement on Thursday that the
new airfares were approved by the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN).
It
said that the fares were increased in line with the increase in aviation fuel
price.
Nepal
Oil Corporation had hiked the price of aviation fuel by Rs. 5 per litre on
March 1. As per the rule, the airfare is automatically increases when the
fuel's price goes up.
The
increment in fares ranges from Rs. 20 to Rs. 220.
According
to the new price list, Kathmandu-Dhangadhi route's fare has increased by Rs.
220 followed by Kathmandu-mountain, Kathmandu-Surkhet and Kathmandu-Jumla by
Rs.170.
Doti-Safebagar
flight fare has gone up by Rs. 20.
