Mahalaxmi
Life Insurance Limited has organised training on anti-money laundering and
terrorism activities for its employees.
All
chiefs of branches of the company in Bagmati Province attended the training.
Senior Assistance Director General of Mahalaxmi Life Sapana Kharel trained the
employees on the methods and techniques of earning illegal money and laundering
it through insurance, ways to identify the money earned from criminal and
terrorist activities, and methods to report dubious transactions.
The
employees were also trained on insurance products and its sales area, effective
underwriting techniques and strategy to reach rural areas, said the company in
a statement on Thursday.
These
topics were facilitated by deputy chief executive officers duo Kamal Panthi and
Remeshwor Shrestha, chief of Marketing Department Prashant Raj Dhamala and
chief of Underwriting Department Prabhakar Neupane.
The
company has planned to organise similar training for employees at the
provincial offices.
