NBL distributes QR code stands in Tansen

Kathmandu, Feb. 28

Nepal Bank Limited has distributed QR code stand to 118 business and individuals in Tansen Municipality of Palpa district.

The bank distributed the stand to Dhaka entrepreneurs, farmers, lawyers, cooperatives, schools, bike repair centre, hotel and restaurents as per its ‘Digital Palpa’ campaign, said the bank in a statement on Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, Mayor of Tansen Ashok Kumar Shahi said that the cashless transactions in business would make it fast and simple. “Therefore, we should increase the use of cashless transaction and all banks and financial institutions in Tansen should work to enhance awareness about it,” he said.

Deputy Director of Nepal Rastra Bank, Siddarthanagar, Ramesh Neupane said that the use of cash is risky and costly and urged to resort to QR code and phone pay options.

Manager of NBL Tansen branch Suraj Ghimire said that there would be more programmes according to the campaign.
