Xiaomi has launched the Redmi 17 and Redmi 17 5G in
Nepal. "The series has been introduced with a focus on long-lasting
battery life, a smooth display with a 120Hz refresh rate and reliable
durability for everyday use, with the aim of reducing the need for frequent
charging," the company said in a statement.
The phones come with a 7,500mAh battery, designed to
provide long-lasting performance during video streaming, gaming or a busy day
of phone use.
Both smartphones feature a 6.9-inch HD display with a
120Hz refresh rate. The Redmi 17 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G91-Ultra
processor, while the Redmi 17 5G features the Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 Mobile
Platform for faster 5G connectivity. Both phones run on Xiaomi HyperOS 3 and
support up to 12GB of RAM through memory expansion.
According to the company, both phones feature a
50-megapixel AI dual camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. The dual-view
video recording feature allows users to record videos simultaneously from
different angles. For audio, the phones are equipped with dual stereo speakers
supporting up to a 300 per cent volume boost.
Weighing around 232 grams, both phones have IP64 dust
and water resistance.
