Jagadamba brings in electronic mover, tipper

Kathmandu, Oct. 2

Jagdamba Motors, in collaboration with Shaanxi Automobile Group (Shacman), has officially launched the Shacman X5000e 6×4 Electric Prime Mover and ShacmanX5000e 6×4 Electric Tipper in Nepal.

"Designed for demanding commercial applications, the Electric Prime Mover is engineered for heavy haulage and long-distance transportation, while the Electric Tipper is designed for construction, mining and other demanding off-road applications," the company said in a statement.

Both models feature an electric powertrain and 6×4 drivetrain, along with fast-charging capability, regenerative braking and intelligent battery management systems. According to the company, these technologies are designed to support efficient and reliable vehicle operation across demanding commercial applications.

Speaking at the launching of the vehicle, Sanders Lee, South Asia General Manager of Shaanxi, said, “Nepal is a promising market for electric heavy-duty vehicles. Through this collaboration, we aim to bring reliable and technology-driven heavy-duty solutions to the Nepalese market.”

The Prime Mover is priced at Rs. 20.5 million, while the Tipper is priced at Rs. 23.5 million.
