SEBON trains people in Kavre

Kathmandu, July 10: The Security Board of Nepal (SEBON) organized two-day training programme on 9th and 10th July for the investors at Panauti of Kavre district.
According to a press statement issued by the SEBON, director of the Board, Dr. Nava Raj Adhikari trained the participants on the fundamentals of the securities market while Giri Raj Dahal of Nepal Stock Exchange and Suresh Karki of CDS and Clearing Limited facilitated about the securities transaction system, clearing and transfer of ownership.
SEBON chairman Dr. Rewat Bahadur Karki said that the capital market regulator was expediting works to manage the primary market of securities and a study was underway in terms of online transaction of shares.
SEBON organized the training in collaboration with Gyan Bikas Samudayik Pustakalaya and Indreshwor Saving and Credit Cooperative Limited.
Approximately 265 people participated in the training.
SEBON has been organizing such training across the country to enhance the knowledge of common investors about the securities market and the training was one of such initiatives.

Vice-president of Kavre Chamber of Commerce and Industry Rajesh Sundar Sainju, chairman of Panauti City Development Committee Rajesh Shrestha, under secretary of Ministry of Land Reform and management Ram Kumar Sapkota, chairman of Indreshwor SACOS Hari Bhakta Karmacharya, vice-president of Gyan Bikas Library Om Krishna Shrestha, local businessmen, representatives of cooperatives, investors and other people participated in the training.
