Tourism promotion programme in Phuket

Kathmandu, July 13: The Embassy of Nepal, Bangkok and Honorary Consulate of Nepal in Phuket jointly organised a tourism promotion programme in Phuket, Thailand Monday.
Organized with the slogan of ‘Nepal is beautiful: visit and enjoy in Nepal', the programme updated the local travel agents, tour operators, journalists and representatives of Nepali associations about the recent tourism development and destinations in the country.
According to a press statement issued by the Embassy, high level government officials from Phuket, including Vice-governor Dr. Prachiad Aksornthamakul, deputy chief of Phuket Judiciary, Commander of Provincial Police Pol. Major General Teeraphol Thipjaroen, and others also attended the programme.
Nepalese ambassador to Thailand Khaga Nath Adhikari delivered keynote address where he highlighted major tourism attractions in the country like Lumbini, trekking, mountaineering and cultural sites. 
Honorary consul of Nepal in Phuket Pranee Sakulppatana, NRNA representative Prem Danai and Nepal Tourism Board Board Danial Limbu also talked about Nepalese tourism – nature, culture and adventure – and Nepal-Thai diplomatic relations.
The programme was organized in cooperation with the Non-Resident Nepali Association and Thai-Nepali Association in Phuket and more than 150 individuals participated in the event.
