Kathmandu, Aug. 25
The Advertising Association of Nepal (AAN) has
announced that the 13th Crity Awards will be held in October this
year.
This year, competitions will be held across 31
categories, with 55 awards up for grabs, covering television, print, radio,
digital, social media and integrated campaigns. A total of 24 new categories
have also been introduced, including three new areas — digital, events and
integrated campaigns.
To ensure a transparent evaluation process, AAN has
formed a jury led by Prof. Dr Bijay K.C., Dean of the Faculty of Management at
Kathmandu University, including senior journalist Bharti Silwal Giri, senior
marketing expert Rabindra Man Shrestha, and other sectoral experts.
The jury will nominate subject-specific evaluators,
who will assess the entries and select the winners, President of AAN Sudip
Thapa informed at a press meet organised in Kathmandu on Tuesday.
According to AAN, the registration process for
nominations is now open. Interested advertising agencies and brands can submit
creative works that were produced and exhibited between 1 Baisakh 2080 (mid-April
2023) and the end of Asar 2083 (mid-July 2026).
Since the awards were not organised for the last three
years, creative works developed during this period are eligible to participate in
this year's competition.
Thapa said the 13th edition would cover a wider range
of categories in order to further encourage creativity.
“Since its inception, the Crity Awards have been promoting creativity and originality in the advertising sector. This time, the awards have been expanded to include more categories. This will help introduce the Nepali advertising market to the global marketplace,” he said.
The event is sponsored by Red Bull, while Nepal Media
Society, Media Alliance Nepal, Broadcasting Association of Nepal, Association
of Community Radio Broadcasters (ACORAB), and Broadcasters Forum are supporting
the event as co-organisers.
The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and
Industry (FNCCI), Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI), Nepal Chamber of
Commerce, and the Advertising Board of Nepal have endorsed the event and
provided institutional recognition.
