The Nepal-India Chamber of Commerce and
Industry (NICCI) and Bagmati University (BU) signed a Memorandum of
Understanding (MoU) to promote institutional collaboration between the two
institutions and bridge the gap between academia and industry.
"The partnership will focus on internships,
facilitating placement, joint research initiatives, academic-industry exchange,
skill and capacity-building programmes, and the co-hosting of training
sessions, workshops, conferences, and seminars," the NICCI said in a

The agreement seeks to build a dynamic
interface between academic knowledge and industry practice, equipping students
with practical skills while strengthening innovation and entrepreneurship
through joint efforts.
The MoU was signed by President of
NICCI Sunil KC and President of The BU Prof. Dr. Chandra Mani Poudel. The
BU is a public university established by Bagmati Province.
As per the MoU, the two institutions will
collaborate to establish a platform for internship and job placement

and publications, entrepreneurship and start-up support, student and faculty
engagement, policy advocacy, and infrastructure and centre development.
