India's ambassador holds farewell meeting with FM Khanal

Kathmandu, Sept. 16

India's ambassador to Nepal Naveen Srivastava held a farewell meeting with Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) at Singha Durbar on Wednesday.

On the occasion, FM Khanal praised his role in further deepening and broadening Nepal-India relations, the Minister's Secretariat informed in a statement.

He talked about significant progress in energy cooperation, trade, infrastructure and connectivity between Nepal and India, as well as people-to-people relations between the two countries.

He also expressed gratitude for India's solidarity with Nepal following the devastating floods in the Bhotekoshi River and for its prompt assistance in search, rescue and relief efforts after the disaster.

The Minister expressed confidence that Shrivastava would continue to remain a good friend of Nepal.

Likewise, ambassador Srivastava expressed his appreciation for the support and cooperation he received from the Nepal government during his tenure. He said he was confident that Nepal-India relations would become deeper and stronger in the coming days.
